Nigeria’s renewable energy sector continues to advance with the introduction of a national renewable energy data and carbon accounting platform developed by Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading PLC in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Power.
According to the report published by the Africa Energy Portal, the innovative dashboard aggregates and analyzes renewable generation statistics, project performance metrics, and carbon offset calculations in real time.
The platform is described as one of the first integrated renewable energy intelligence systems in Africa, aimed at improving transparency, monitoring, and sustainability reporting within Nigeria’s energy sector.
The initiative is expected to support policymakers, energy stakeholders, investors, and environmental sustainability programs across the country.
